Solas was appointed to deliver a complete LED lighting upgrade for Central Body Shop in Bristol. The project focused on improving lighting conditions within the workshop and reception areas while significantly reducing energy use and operational costs.
The Client & Challenge
Central Body Shop is a leading vehicle repair and finishing centre known for high standards in craftsmanship and service.
The existing lighting system was outdated and inefficient, consuming large amounts of electricity while providing poor illumination. The client sought a new lighting solution to enhance visibility, safety, and overall working conditions, while also reducing their environmental impact.

The system included LED 600 x 600 mm panels, induction floods, and low-level luminaires to deliver clear, consistent light across both the workshop and reception areas.

We had a whole new ceiling put in so the lights are much lower, which means that there are much better lighting conditions in the workshop which is increasing productivity – so we had them installed through to the reception area and office as well.
